Public CollaborationIndustrial and Governmental Relations
We collaborate with many corporations and government agencies to provide new perspectives to their work through arts.
“GEIDAI ARTS in MARUNOUCHI 2014” is one of the collaborative events co-hosted with a private corporation. Under the theme “Community development by Arts,” this event has been held eight times up until 2014.
Marunouchi is one of the central commercial districts of Tokyo. Corporations have a desire to make Marunouchi the best city in the world that is full of culture and arts, while students want to contribute to the society by utilizing their skills and knowledge in the arts. To materialize such ideas, we provide a platform for some exhibitions and performances, which take place in the Marunouchi Building every year.
Additionally, the School of Film and New Media helped host a training workshop called “Animation Bootcamp” organized by the Agency for Cultural Affairs. It took place three times from 2012 to 2014. For this workshop, we invited animators and producers who are active in the animation industry to serve as instructors.
In 2014, an animation was created by each group during the four-day workshop.
