東京藝術大学国際交流会館に入居する留学生と地域の方々との交流会2016The Social Event with Local Residents at the International House 2016

去る11月17日(木)、本学の国際交流会館に入居する留学生と地域の方々との親睦を深めることを目的とした交流会を、松戸・国際交流会館にて開催しました。

当日は、同館のある千葉県松戸市の地域会をはじめ、白井市や茨城県取手市の国際交流協会、さらには千葉大学等、日頃からも国際交流会館をご支援いただいている方々をご来賓としてお迎えしました。また、過去に同館で生活していた留学生も交流会に集まりました。

冒頭に、三田村有純 国際交流会館長と入居者代表者の挨拶があり、ご支援を頂いております地域住民の方々及び国際交流協会の方々に対する感謝の言葉を述べました。

引き続き、ご来賓の方々より留学生に対する激励の言葉を頂くと共に、各団体が実施する留学生イベントの告知が行われました。

交流会では、おでんやお菓子等を楽しみつつ、それぞれ会話が弾む中、新松戸コミュニティ五番街自治会「踊る阿呆会」の方々による、「日本の踊り」が披露されました。また、留学生による演奏も行われ、ドイツ出身で器楽科ピアノ専攻の交換留学生KRUTZ SYLVIA KIMIKOさん がFrederic Rzewski作曲の「Winsboro cottonmill blues」を演奏しました。

最後に、石田国際交流会館主事が「地域の方々や国際交流会の皆様のこれまでのご支援に感謝すると共に、これからも本学留学生を見守って頂きたい」とお礼を述べ、盛況のうちに交流会は締めくくられました。

この機会が留学生と地域の方々の今後の関係をより深める契機となることを期待します。

On Thursday, November 17, 2016,a social event was held for the international students at the International House of Tokyo University of the Arts to mingle with local residents.

In addition to the guests from Matsudo City where the International House is located, the supporters from the international associations in Shiroi City and Toride City, Ibaraki Prefecture, as well as those from Chiba University, were welcomed. International students who used to live in the dormitory were also invited.

The head of the International House, Professor Arisumi Mitamura of Faculty of Fine Arts gave an opening address and an international student made a speech on behalf of all the residents. They both expressed gratitude to local people of Matsudo and the members of the international associations for their support to the International House.

Then, the guests made speeches, during which they encouraged the international students with warm words and explained about various events they organize for international students.

The participants enjoyed conversations over snacks and Japanese “oden”, while watching a Japanese traditional dance performance by ”odo-ru-aho-kai”, the dance company of the Shinmatsudo Community Gobangai neighborhood association. Ms. Sylvia Kimiko Krutz, a piano student from Germany, played Frederic Rzewski’s Winsboro cottonmill blues, which added grace to the event.

The event successfully ended with a closing speech by International House Supervisor Eriko Ishida. She appreciated the support to the International House provided by the guests and asked them to watch over the residents

We wish that this event has added momentum to promoting friendly relations between international students at TUA and the local community.
