October 2021

At Tokyo Geidai, we are distressed by the situation facing those of you who have not yet been able to enter Japan because of visa issuance suspension due to governmental COVID-19 prevention measures, despite having been admitted as regular students.

Currently the number of COVID-19 infections in Japan is falling, and the state of emergency was lifted at the end of September. Everyday life is gradually returning to normal. While the outlook for entry into Japan from overseas remains uncertain, it is our understanding that concerned organizations are calling on the government to quickly open the gates to international students.

It is our sincere desire for you to be able to enter Japan at the earliest possible date. We ask you to bear with the situation for a little longer. We are doing our upmost to support your studies and interactions from afar, but should you have any feedback or requests, we encourage you to freely let us know.

We hope to meet you soon on campus at Tokyo Geidai. We extend our best wishes, and please take good care of yourself.
